A UK initiative called ConnectingSouthwark.com is putting the green in public transport with a tram station EcoPod, a tool that provides great information for teaching environmental responsibility . Made from recycled container and powered by renewable energies such as solar panels and wind turbines, the EcoPod is a great symbol of the basic principles of green on the tram and provide information on transportation programs.
The strategy is to connect South and North London and to develop a new identity for the tram system in London.
